Most of us are unable to proofread our own words. By the time we’ve thought them, written them, read them and checked them we know them so well we see what we expect to see, not what is actually on the page.
It’s not just weighty documents that need proofreading either; it could be that small typo in an email to a potential client that makes or breaks the deal. Unchecked typos indicate a lack of attention to detail, leaving clients wondering where else you might be sloppy.

I will proofread and/or edit all your documents, no matter how large or small. Simply send me your web copy, manuscripts, letters, emails and reports and I’ll check them, correct them and return them to you in a ready-to-use format.
I offer copy editing and proofreading services for documents in Word doc/docx format at just £10 per thousand words (rounded up or down to the nearest 500 words).
I can also proofread PDF documents. However, because this involves highlighting your PDF and adding comments, rather than using Tracking Changes, it takes longer, therefore my price for proofreading PDFs is £40 per hour.

To work out estimated costs, I charge £10 per thousand words, rounded to the nearest 500 words. For PDF documents, my fee is £40 per hour.
Express Proofreading Services
While I always endeavour to return your proofread and edited documents as soon as possible, there are times when you need a fast turnaround. For just £11 per thousand words (rounded up or down to the nearest 500) I will guarantee the following turnaround times:
Documents under 3,000 words: 24 hour turnaround
Documents 3,000 to 10,000 words: 48 hour turnaround
Documents 10,000 to 25,000 words: 72 hour turnaround.
