Happy World Storytelling Day!

1219898_75483334Did you know that today was World Storytelling Day? No, me neither, not till about five minutes ago* … but it seems like a particularly relevant day for me because one of the best parts of my job is helping people to tell their story.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been proofreading some wonderful stories, both true and fictional, and as soon as those books are published I’ll be shouting about them! One is by my book coachee Charlie Holles – his first (but definitely not his last!) book is a wonderfully inspiring tale of how he has travelled the world searching for inner peace and his true purpose. It’s a beautiful story and one I hope will enthrall readers everywhere. Another book I’ve been proofreading is also a tale of travelling, this time achieving a long-held dream of walking the entire 267 miles of the Pennine Way! And the third book that’s passed through my hands this week is a wonderful novel set in the world of London’s theatreland during WWII. This story is fictional but it’s magical, full of laughter, sadness and courage.

Three incredible stories, all very different – but all equally captivating.

They say everyone has a book in them … So what’s your story? I would love to help you share it with the world! Why not take advantage of my free half hour coaching call, where we can explore your story and work out where to take it.

* Before I go, here’s a great tool for you – Days of the Year, the ultimate resource for worldwide events, festivals, funny, weird and wonderful Days of the Year … If you’re short of inspiration for a blog post or tweet, or you’re looking for an topical way to promote your business, have a look here and see what unusual “Days” are coming up. For example, today is also Ravioli Day and French Bread Day …. worth knowing about if you are a caterer or Italian language teacher … as well as being Kiss Your Fiance Day and Proposal Day …. I bet there are loads of wedding businesses out there that could make something of those!
