
Alison M Thompson is an author and editor based in the UK. Her first book, The Boy From Hell: Life with a Child with ADHD was self-published in 2013 and republished by JKP in 2016; her second book, What’s Your Story?, about writing a non-fiction book, was published in 2021. She has had articles published in SEN Magazine, Primary Times and Huffington Post UK and also hosts the podcast Conversations with Authors.
Alison has spent the last 15 years supporting authors writing memoir, fiction, business and self-help books through mentoring, editing, proofreading and formatting.
Now she has turned the focus onto her own writing and is studying an MA in Contemporary Creative Writing at Northeastern University London, with a focus on creative non-fiction, short stories and novels. She is also working on two books, both set in Portugal, where she lived for three years: a travel memoir, and a contemporary uplit novel.
Alison currently lives in Gloucester with two dogs, a cat and several tropical fish.
