Ian Peterman on “Conscious Design”

Welcome to Conversations with Authors, where I – Alison Thompson, AKA The Proof Fairy – meet amazing authors and find out what inspires them to write and what advice they would offer other aspiring authors.

My guest today is Ian Peterman, founder and CEO of the Peterman Design Firm. Ian has over 15 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching products in many sectors and he has developed what he calls Conscious Design, an approach to design that improves and enriches other classic design methods. His book “Conscious Design” was published in October 2021.

During our conversation I find out how the starting point for Ian’s book was an infographic. We also talk about sharing knowledge, the joys of editing and formatting, and the steps required to make a good cuppa!
