Welcome to Conversations with Authors, where I – Alison Thompson, AKA The Proof Fairy – meet amazing authors and find out what inspires them to write and what advice they would offer other aspiring authors.
My guest today is award-winning international speaker, bestselling author, and the UK’s #1 Fear Strategist Keith Blakemore-Noble. Keith is the author of five books including his latest, The Masks We Wear, which was written and published during the 2020 pandemic (though the masks it talks about bear no relation to PPE!).
In our conversation Keith tells me about the trials and tribulations of putting together collaborative projects and how he turned a business presentation into a book. We also talk about writing what you know, structuring your content and Star Wars!
More About Keith Blakemore-Noble
Award-winning international speaker. Multi-time best-selling author. UK’s #1 Fear Strategist. Coach.
Keith Blakemore-Noble is all of these, but he is also someone who used to be terrified of speaking with strangers, and who allowed this fear to hold his life back for decades.
Until one panic attack too many, which forced him to realise he needed to Do Something
For Keith, ‘something’ was immersing himself in the study of NLP, hypnosis, and coaching. He became certified at train-the-trainer level, and used these skills first to conquer his own fears and then to help others.
Whether it’s conquering fears and phobias, embracing change, reclaiming confidence, or busting habits (like smoking or bad eating), since 2010 Keith has used his skills and experience to help thousands of people across the planet to transform their lives.
He has distilled what he’s learned and observed over those years into his most recent book The Masks We Wear, which explores the metaphorical masks we all wear in life. It looks at what they are, where they come from, why they are dangerous, and how to live a life without those masks.
